Darkness to Light Stewards of Children Training

Child sexual abuse prevention starts with knowledge and awareness of the problem. In the Stewards of Children training, you will

  • Receive a mix of survivor stories, expert advice, and practical guidance for preventing child sexual abuse.
  • Learn about making choices, taking risks, and supporting each other.
  • Get simple strategies to prevent and respond to sexual abuse through Darkness to Light’s 5 Steps to Protecting Our Children.

The Stewards of Children training is intended for youth-serving organizations, community members, and any adults interested in keeping children safe. Participants  learn how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. It is the only nationally distributed, evidence-based program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child-protective behaviors.

The training is 2 hours in length and provided free to participants.
